In a pre-recorded video sermon that recently appeared on social media, Adegboyega addressed his congregation, revealing that he had undergone a major surgery as part of his treatment.
“I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right. I’ve been dealing with cancer for the past few months or even more. I just had a major surgery, that’s why I am not there today,” he said.
“I have just fought the battle and I feel the verdict to continue live was given to me by God for a new level, for a new stage,” the pastor added, expressing gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose.
He emphasized that his journey through illness and recovery is a reflection of his resilience and divine calling. As part of his commitment to helping others, Adegboyega donated £100,000 towards cancer awareness and support for young people undergoing treatment.
Previously, Adegboyega made headlines for his involvement in a £1.87 million fraud case and subsequently lost an appeal against deportation.
Despite past controversies, his latest message has drawn attention for its vulnerability and charitable gesture.
