Nigerian skit maker and singer Carter Efe, born Odahohwo Joseph Efe, has issued a public apology to music star Wizkid after previously criticizing him during a heated outburst.
Earlier, Carter Efe had gone viral for calling Wizkid “an idiot” and claiming the superstar was full of pride after feeling snubbed. His remarks came after Wizkid linked up with another content creator, Shank Comics, while ignoring Efe, despite the skit maker’s long-standing admiration.
Following his rant, Carter Efe’s major social media pages—Instagram and TikTok—were allegedly reported and taken down by Wizkid’s fans (popularly called FC). The loss of his platforms seemed to prompt a change in tone.
In a new video circulating online, Carter Efe appeared remorseful, admitting that he may have gone too far. Although he maintained that Wizkid is known for being prideful, he acknowledged his mistake and apologized publicly.

The video sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans laughed at his sudden humility, others criticized him further, calling his earlier rant immature and unnecessary.
This comes shortly after Carter had praised Wizkid in the comment section of a post promoting the singer’s new song IDK with Zlatan Ibile. However, that gesture also drew backlash from netizens, many of whom accused him of being inconsistent and clout-chasing.
