Nigerian music producer Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef, is making waves online after commenting on the recent arrest of social media personality Vincent Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
VDM was reportedly taken into custody by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) shortly after accompanying his mother to a branch of Guaranty Trust Bank to resolve ongoing issues with unexplained deductions from her account.
News of his arrest sparked widespread reactions, with several public figures, including singer Davido, voicing support and demanding his release.
Samklef, however, took a different stance. In his response, he criticized Davido’s involvement and recalled a past incident where VDM allegedly vowed to help Davido harm someone. According to Samklef, the activist is now facing the consequences of his own previous actions.
Samklef said:
“People wet supposed go protest for am Dey warm ena chop lol I been think say davido wan go help am? Efcc no Dey work with emotions! This same VDM that once said he would help Davido “kpiá” me—some Nigerian youths are just too gullible and biased.”
“He can’t even call out certain people. VDM is facing his own karma now. What you do to others will eventually be done to you. Same person wey attack Igbo business men.
