  • Nigerian hip-hop artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, also known as Odumodublvck, has denied allegations of misogyny.
  • Odumodublvck was accused of misogyny after claiming in a verse from his 2023 collaboration, ‘Cast,’ that some women may struggle to afford wigs and designer handbags without men.

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known professionally as Odumodublvck, has spoken out regarding accusations of misogyny tied to one of his song lyrics.

The controversy stems from a line in his 2023 track Cast, a collaboration with fellow artist Shallipopi, where he implied that some women rely on transactional relationships to afford wigs and luxury handbags. The lyric sparked backlash online, with critics accusing the rapper of promoting misogynistic views.

Addressing the matter during a recent appearance on The Beat FM in Lagos, Odumodublvck dismissed the accusations, calling them baseless.

“The misogynist talk is fake,” he said. “In the last year, I am the artist that has featured the most women in the game. What kind of misogynist is that? That’s a fake one.”

The rapper emphasized his commitment to supporting female voices in the music industry, pointing to his track record as evidence against the claims.

In other news, Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has once again stirred public conversation as he revisits the circumstances surrounding his son’s passing. In a recent live broadcast on TikTok, Aloba revealed that he spent a staggering ₦18 million to conduct an autopsy on Mohbad.

According to him, the breakdown includes ₦16 million for the actual autopsy and an additional ₦2 million in related expenses. He insisted that his claims were truthful and challenged anyone with contrary information to come forward and dispute it.

The statement sparked a flurry of reactions online, with many questioning how he was able to raise such a sum. Several social media users also demanded evidence of the claimed expenditure, asking him to provide receipts for transparency.

In another surprising twist, Joseph Aloba released a new song which he described as a heartfelt plea. The track was posted on his official TikTok account and appeared to reflect his emotional journey since his son’s death. However, the release did not sit well with many users, who criticized the move and questioned his intentions, with some accusing him of capitalizing on the tragedy.
