In a recent interview on Apple Music’s Ebro Show, the award-winning artist shared insights into his musical versatility and why he stays true to his roots.
“One thing American artists enjoy when working with me is that it’s either we find a balance or we go full Afrobeats. That’s just how it is,” Davido said. “I know I can’t outperform Gunna or Young Thug in trap, or Chris Brown in R&B, but nobody does Afrobeats better than I do.”
Davido also disclosed that he and Chris Brown have recorded over 20 songs together, adding that they have enough material to release two joint albums.
