Emeka Ugwuonye, legal counsel to Nollywood actress May Edochie, has provided an update regarding her ongoing divorce from actor Yul Edochie.
The divorce process, which began in August 2023, was initiated by May after she accused Yul of infidelity and sought N100 million in damages from Judy Austin, who Yul introduced as his second wife in April 2022 along with the news of their child.
According to a detailed Facebook post from Ugwuonye, the case has seen substantial progress. Both parties have reportedly come to terms on several major aspects of the divorce.
While a functional arrangement is currently in effect, the matter concerning the damages claim against Judy Austin for her involvement with Yul is still unresolved.
Additionally, Ugwuonye noted that May is not considering remarriage at this time and is not in a rush to conclude the divorce process.
