Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Nina Ivy, has conveyed a significant message highlighting the importance of trusting parental instincts rather than succumbing to medical anxieties.
In a series of posts on Instagram Stories, Nina shared an experience when a physician informed her that her son, Denzel, who was born prematurely, might not be able to walk.
The doctor suggested therapy, but she confidently dismissed the prognosis.
“I looked him straight in the face and said, ‘My son will walk when it’s time.’”
And indeed, he did walk. Nina noted that Denzel began walking before he reached his first birthday.
The former reality television star cautioned individuals against accepting everything doctors say without question.
“A lot of doctors put you on medications that only lead to more complications… Stay woke.” she advised.
