Online personality Daniel Regha has finally spoken out regarding the reported arrest of influencer VeryDarkMan, calling out GTBank and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for their silence.
Regha voiced his concerns through a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
His remarks come amid ongoing public speculation, as neither GTBank nor the EFCC has issued any statements about the circumstances of VeryDarkMan’s alleged arrest.
Reports indicate that the influencer was taken into custody shortly after leaving a branch of GTBank, with EFCC operatives allegedly involved. However, the agency has yet to confirm or deny this.
Meanwhile, GTBank has also remained silent despite accusations that it may have played a role in facilitating the arrest. The bank has not released any official comment addressing the allegations.
In response to the situation, Regha called for accountability from both institutions and demanded that they address the matter publicly.
He wrote:
“Neither GTBank nor the EFCC has released any statement regarding the reported arrest of VDM. They should address the situation.”
“Arresting someone is one thing, but the reported assault is another. Regardless of what he’s done, assault is something no one should stand for.”
“If he’s committed a punishable offense, follow due process and keep the public updated. This is ridiculous.”
