Popular Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has revealed that she has no desire to remarry but is open to having more children with her ex-husband.
In a recent interview, the movie star, who previously opened up in 2023 about the reasons behind her failed marriage, shed more light on her current relationship with her former partner. Back then, she had explained that one of the major issues in their marriage was his tendency to bring up her flaws during arguments.
Now, Wumi has shared that despite the end of their romantic relationship, she and her ex-husband are successfully co-parenting. She also revealed that he once told her she wouldn’t make a good wife to him again, even if they reconciled.
However, he did praise her for being an excellent mother. According to Wumi, this mutual respect in parenting has created a peaceful relationship between them, even though they are no longer married.
Though marriage isn’t in her plans anymore, Wumi noted she is still open to expanding her family — possibly with her ex.
In her statement, she said, “I’m not interested in getting married now, but I want to have more babies with my ex-husband. My ex-husband told me that I may not be a good wife to him if we come back together, but he later told me that I’m a good mother to our children. He’s not married to another person yet, but I can’t say if he’s already in a relationship, but right now we’re co-parenting very well.”
