“There is lesser crime in Nigeria compared to UK because they know if they [criminals] get caught, there is jungle justice. They burn you alive,” he said.
However, he was quick to clarify that he does not condone or support jungle justice, emphasizing its extrajudicial nature and the potential for harm.
In the same interview, Skales also shared his perspective on Afrobeats as a musical style. He described the genre as an umbrella term encompassing various musical styles rather than a single, definitive sound. “No one can pinpoint how Afrobeats is supposed to sound,” he noted.
