Georgina Rodriguez recently posted a stunning photo on her Instagram, showcasing her enormous engagement ring. This comes just weeks after Cristiano Ronaldo addressed why he hasn’t proposed yet.
The 31-year-old model shared an image of her dazzling rectangular engagement ring, alongside a message written in Arabic: “And keep evil away from us, Amen.” She also has the same phrase tattooed on her hand, which may refer to the heightened security surrounding her family in Saudi Arabia.
Although Rodriguez has been showing off the ring, it’s understood that she and Ronaldo are not engaged. In fact, Ronaldo, 40, opened up last month about the reasons behind their lack of a formal marriage. In a Netflix interview, he explained, “I always tell her, ‘When we get that click.’ She knows exactly what I mean, and it could happen in a year, six months, or even a month. I’m absolutely sure it will come.”
The couple, who began their relationship in 2016, share two daughters, Alana, 7, and Bella, 2. Rodriguez is also a stepmother to Ronaldo’s other three children.
On her reality show I Am Georgina, Rodriguez revealed how her friends often tease her about when she and Ronaldo will tie the knot. She recalled, “They always joke about the wedding. ‘When’s the wedding?’ Since Jennifer Lopez’s song ‘The Ring or When’ came out, they started singing it to me. But, honestly, it’s not up to me.”
Despite the couple not being legally married, Ronaldo has frequently referred to Rodriguez as his ‘wife’ in the past.
