Rema has been recognized as the most streamed Nigerian artist on YouTube for the first quarter of 2025, according to a recent report by The Debut Hub, a Nigerian music chart platform. The “Raver” singer topped the list with an impressive 223 million streams, driven by his hit single, Is It Crime, which alone garnered 14 million streams.

Rema’s success comes amid fierce competition, with Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy securing second place with 171 million streams. Burna Boy is also gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness.

Ayra Starr, known for her breakout track Sabi Girl, claimed third place with 169 million streams, while music giants Davido and Wizkid rounded out the top five with 113 million and 102 million streams, respectively.

As 2025 progresses, it’s clear that Afrobeats continues to dominate globally, with Nigerian artists leading the charge in the streaming world. The list of the top 20 most-streamed Nigerian artists globally on YouTube Music for Q1 2025 (January – March) further highlights the continued rise of the genre.
