In a recent conversation, Nicole opened up about their love story, revealing that she met Naeto when she was 22 years old—shortly after returning from the UK where she had completed her undergraduate degree. At the time, her goal was to complete the mandatory NYSC and return abroad for her master’s program.
But everything shifted when she met Naeto. Nicole admitted she was so deeply in love that she considered putting her academic plans on hold to settle down with him. However, Naeto encouraged her to continue with her studies and return once she had earned her master’s.
Nicole then spoke candidly about the hurtful public reactions when their relationship became public knowledge. She said she faced intense criticism and harsh comparisons, with many people questioning her looks and worthiness to be with a celebrity like Naeto C.
“When our relationship went public, it was a whole thing. I received a lot of vitroil when it came out. And the rhetoric was that I was not good enough for everyone’s beloveth Naeto C, he could do so much better than her, she’s not beautiful, she’s so ugly. I was compared to all sorts of animals….” she revealed.
Despite the early negativity, Nicole and Naeto C went on to build a strong marriage, admired today by many as an example of love and commitment that defied public judgment.
