  • Nina Ivy comments on the paternity controversy surrounding Cubana Chief Priest.
  • She asserts that a DNA test confirming paternity does not legally obligate him to support the child.
  • Her remarks follow a viral video of Hellen, the alleged mother, seeking help from the Imo State governor.

Reality TV star Nina Ivy has shared her thoughts on the ongoing paternity controversy involving businessman Cubana Chief Priest. She believes that even if a DNA test confirms he is the father, he cannot be legally compelled to take responsibility for the child.

Her statement came in response to a viral video in which Hellen, the alleged baby mama, pleaded with the Imo State governor to intervene in her case.

According to Nina Ivy, Hellen knowingly put herself in a challenging situation if she was aware that Cubana Chief Priest was married and had no intention of accepting the child.

In a series of posts, Nina reiterated that, regardless of the DNA results, there is no legal obligation forcing the businessman to take care of the child.

Nina said …

“If she knew he was married with children and had no intention of claiming her or the child, then she put herself in this situation. A child should never be used to trap someone, especially when there was no real connection between them. The reality is, men are naturally inclined toward polygamy, and in this case, she will have to handle this on her own because he won’t take responsibility. Before deciding to have a child, she should have ensured she had the means to provide for them independently.”

She added …

“@ifynayaa Even if the DNA test is done and confirms that he is the father, that doesn’t mean he will be legally forced to take responsibility for the child.

“Yes, I live in the U.S., but let’s be real this isn’t the U.S. this is Nigeria. Over there , if you choose to have a child with a married man, you are on your own because the system does not work in your favor. It’s unfortunate, but that’s the reality. Yes, men should be held accountable, but let’s not ignore the fact that women also have a responsibility to protect themselves. Hoping a married man will suddenly change and take responsibility is wishful thinking. In Nigeria, if you don’t think ahead, you’ll be left to deal with the consequences alone.”
