Nigerian actress Bimbo Ademoye recently surprised her fans by wearing a disguise to visit the market.
She shared videos on her Instagram stories showing how she hid her identity while shopping in a busy Lagos market.
It’s well-known that famous people struggle to enjoy regular activities like visiting public places or shopping due to their celebrity status, as people often treat them differently and may try to take advantage of them.
To cope with this, Bimbo Ademoye found a clever way to hide her identity while shopping. The Nollywood actress used her Muslim heritage as inspiration and wore a fully covered outfit to the market.
Ademoye was dressed in a one-piece abaya that included a head covering. She also sported a black face mask in the video.
This disguise allowed her to browse and bargain at the market without being disturbed by fans or shopkeepers who might know her.
In one clip, Bimbo Ademoye talked about how much she liked pretending to be someone else while shopping at the market. She said she wants to try it again. In her words:
