Real Madrid is most likely to be Mbappe’s next stop. Real Madrid has already stated that it will not waive its players’ contracts with the club in order to allow them to compete in the Olympics, which are not included in the list of international competitions that FIFA has defined as needing players to be released by clubs.
Macron, the president of France, expressed his hope on Saturday that football player Kylian Mbappe, who is expected to play for Real Madrid in the future, will be allowed to represent France at the Olympics in Paris.
“I’m counting on Real Madrid to free up Kylian for the Olympic Games so he can come play with the French team,” Macron said in a video posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Mbappe said on Friday that he will depart from Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning French champion, at the end of the current campaign.

The Olympic football competition begins on July 24 and runs to August 9, with France in a group alongside the United States, New Zealand and another side still to be determined.
