“Anybody with information as to his whereabout should report immediately to the commission or the nearest police station,” the EFCC said.
Yahaya Bello, the immediate former governor of Kogi State, has been listed as sought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC said in a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Thursday that Bello was wanted for charges including financial and economic crimes.
“Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 billion.
“Anybody with information as to his whereabout should report immediately to the commission or the nearest police station,” the EFCC said.
The anti-graft agency’s agents stormed the former governor’s Abuja home on Wednesday, according to a Opinion Nigeria report.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo arrived with his security detail and swept him out of the EFCC’s clutches.
