Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha Akide recently opened up receiving death threats from fans of popular Nigerian musician Davido.
In a candid interview with Chude Jideonwo, Tacha shared her experiences with online harassment and the dangers of toxic fandoms.
She disclosed that after calling Davido out for liking a defamatory tweet about her, she started receiving death threats from his fans.
She said:
“I received death threats from Davido’s fans. I’ve heard people said, ‘Na our 001 you wan use play? We go show you.’”
Tacha was a devoted fan of Davido Before their disagreement.
She made her entrance on Big Brother Naija with a tattoo of the singer on her chest, announcing to the world that she was an ardent follower of the artist.
However in an interview from the previous year, she said that she had removed Davido’s tattoo from her body.
According to the reality star, it was for private reasons.
Tacha also during the interview, clarified that she has never been in a romantic relationship with a married man contrary to the speculations about her, she revealed that there is no proof that she has dated any.
The controversial ex-housemate said this in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo in which she boasted that those accusing her of sleeping with married men cannot present any evidence.
Tacha Akide said:
“There were rumours that I was sleeping with married men but they can’t bring one married man because they know there’s none.
“I say it proudly, any day, anytime, anywhere, in my sleep, in my dream, everything I enjoy I worked hard for it. Not a lot of people can boast of that because we are in an industry where there people don’t want you to progress.”
The 28-year-old once lashed out at critics who claimed her ‘sugar daddy’ sponsored her trip to Ghana.
