616. NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER AND ANOTHER COOL START TO YOUR DAY. Definitely a good day to stay indoors. IF YOU WOULD PREFER. YES, AT LEAST TODAY WE HAVE MORE SUN YESTERDAY. RAIN CHANCES ARE GONE TODAY BUT I THINK IT COULD GET A DEGREER OR TWO COOLER THAN YESTERDAY. OH, REALLY? YES. THE WINDS WILL DECREASE A LITTLE BUT STILL REALLY COOL. AND THE COOL BEGINS OUT THERE TOO. TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE FORTIES FOR MOST OF US, AND HAMMOND COMES IN AT 38 DEGREES. BURAS IS AT 53 DEGREES. PLACES LIKE GULFPORT, 42. GAGLIANO 44. HOMER 43 DEGREES. SO WE HAVE A BREEZE OUT THERE, SPECIAL FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE CLOSER TO THE SOUTH BANK. LAKEFRONT IT’S 25 MILES PER HOUR BREEZE AT LAKEFRONT 16 AT THE AIRPORT, 20 DOWN AT A BURAS AND PLACES LIKE GALLIANO, SEVEN MILES PER HOUR BREEZE. AND WIND GUSTS ARE STRONGER THAN THAT. WE HAVE BUSTS OF 25 MPH AT THE AIRPORT AND 18 MPH IN BELCHES. SO THE LITTLE CRAFTSMANSHIP CONSULTATION REMAINS UNTIL 1:00 AM THIS AFTERNOON. SO THESE COULD BE ANYWHERE FROM 5 TO 9 FEET. NOW, TODAY I GO WITH THE FORECAST OF 53 DEGREES AND THE AVERAGE HIGH IS 73. THE AVERAGE LOW IS 56, I think it’s possible that today’s high temp could be cooler than where our low temp normally is at this time of year. WE HAVE A RECORD OF 87 DEGREES SET IN 1963. NOW THE RECORD LOW 31 DEGREES FOR TOMORROW TOMORROW. AND I THINK THE AIRPORT WILL BE AT 39 DEGREES. SO WE WILL GET CLOSER TO THESE RECORD LOW TERRITORIES. OVERALL, TODAY WILL BE A COOL DAY, WITH HIGHS IN THE LOW AND MID 50’S, AND THE BREEZE WILL CONTINUE. IF YOU GO TO THE LOUISIANA IRISH ITALIAN PARADE BUNDLE. TEMPERATURES REMAINING IN THE 1940’S AND 1950’S. AND WE WILL HAVE A NORTH BREEZE ALL AFTERNOON AT ABOUT 80 MPH. AND THEN TONIGHT, MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES. AND A FREEZE WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT ON THE SOUTH BANK BY THE LAKE IN THE COAST. I THINK IT WILL STILL FLY FLY BUT WHERE THE BREEZE HAS ACTUALLY GONE UP WE COULD FALL TO FROZEN LEVELS. SO WE HAVE A FREEZE WARNING THAT APPLIES TONIGHT AT 10:00 AM UNTIL 10:00 AM TOMORROW. IT IS FOR OUR RIVER COMMUNITIES ON THE NORTH BANK, ALL OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI AND NOW EVEN PARTS OF THE SOUTH BANK. PLACES SUCH AS HOMA LA ARE CREATED BY LAFITTE, THEY ARE NOW ALSO LISTED IN THIS FREEZE ALERT WHERE LOW TEMPERATURES COULD DOWN TO FREEZING, 32 DEGREES OR COOLER. I EXPECT SOME 20’s out there on the North Shore, low 30’s too. AND ON THE SOUTH SHORE IF YOU IF YOU ACTUALLY COULD BE IN YOUR LOW THIRTS ESPECIALLY WHERE WE HAVE THIS FREEZE WARNING THAT HAS THE LAKE SEA CLOSING IN PRESENT I THINK RIGHT ABOUT 40 DEGREES ON BOTH SIDES. SO FOR THOSE OF YOU ALONG THE COASTAL AREAS AND THEN TOMORROW IS ANOTHER COOL DAY. WE’RE STILL IN THE 50S, NOT SO LIQUID. I THINK MORE SUN TOMORROW. TOMORROW IS THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING. WITH A HIGH OF 56 DEGREES, IT’S MUCH COOLER THAN NORMAL TO START SPRING WHICH IS EXACTLY ABOUT 73 DEGREES. NOT NEAR THE RECORD LOW OF 88. NOW THE FORECAST LOW 39 IS CLOSER TO THAT RECORD LOW OF 31. SO, YES, TOMORROW WILL START SPRING BUT IT’S STARTING COOL. DOESN’T FEEL LIKE SPRING BUT. WATCH THIS WARM-UP TOMORROW TOMORROW. YES, MANY OF US ARE COLD, BUT THEN WE ARE NOT THERE FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK. TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO RISE. YES. WE WILL BE BACK AT NEAR 80 DEGREES. HOW’S THAT A ROLLER COASTER FOR OUR TEMPERATURES ARE NEAR 84 DE
