Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has been ruled out for Sunday night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, the team just announced.
Lillard was originally listed as likely to have right calf tightness.
However, Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said before the game that Lillard would test his calf to see if he could walk, noting they wanted to be careful with the injury. Lillard has missed several games this season because of his right calf.
Anfernee Simons will switch to point guard in place of Lillard and will be joined by Ryan Arcidiacono (backache), who has been upgraded to available.
