Some of the events this weekend are:
- First thing off, don’t miss actor/comedian Katt Williams tomorrow night as he brings his 23 and Me tour to the UNO Lakefront Arena. In addition to his stand-up comedy, Williams has appeared in a number of films such as “Norbit” and “Friday After Next.” The show starts at 8 p.m
- Next, the Thrillville Fair returns to the Shrine on Airline from Friday night through March 5th. The fair features over 30 rides, carnival games, and special shows like the Sea Lion Splash and the High Flying Pages. - For great entertainment, head to Slidell’s Cutting Edge Theater for their production of Dreamgirls the musicalruns from tomorrow evening until March 18th. dream girl follows the trials and tribulations of a Detroit girl group called The Dreams… and the story is heavily inspired by the history of the Supremes and by Motown Records.
- Finally, Mardi Gras isn’t quite over yet: this Sunday afternoon, grab your dog and head to Covington for the 29th Annual Mardi Paws Parade! This year’s theme is ‘Tails from the Barkside’ and is directed by Carlos, the dog star from the movie ‘Max’. Look out for the infamous sparkling dog poo toss… the parade starts at 2pm and proceeds go to the non-profit organization Scott’s Wish.
