Nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte was fatally stabbed in Lincolnshire. The girl, of Lithuanian descent, was found on Fountain Lane in Lincolnshire at 6.20pm on Thursday.

Nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte was stabbed to death in Boston. She was recognized by Lincolnshire Police and the senior officer had described Lilia’s death as “an utter tragedy”.

The highly trained police officers alerted Lilia’s parents and helped them after they found the body. Home Secretary Priti Patel described the event as “appalling”.

On Fountain Lane, flowers and memorials were laid near the area.

Chief Superintendent Kate Anderson, the East Range Commander, said: “Our thoughts remain with Lilia’s family and friends. If members of the public have useful information, please call 101 and quote incident 419 of July 28. Alternatively, they can report anonymously through Crimestoppers.”

According to sources, flowers and tributes may be placed near the intersection of Fountain Lane and Fountain Place.

Two people have been taken into custody in connection with a murder investigation following what police have described as an “isolated incident”. “Our condolences go out to Lilia’s family and friends,” said Kate Anderson, Chief Superintendent of Lincolnshire Police.

“Deeply shocking news in Boston tonight,” Warman tweeted Thursday.
I’ve spoken to senior police officers in my community and I’m incredibly grateful for the efforts of the emergency services.

I have also contacted Tom Pursglove, the Minister of Police, to ensure that any helpful national aid is sent as soon as possible.

The police have not yet released any information about the two arrested people. Before providing a critical link to the case, the police department can first gather information and validate the issue.

Police cars were seen later Thursday night parked on either side of an alley at the scene to keep people away. Two forensic scientists were working at the scene early Friday morning before police left.

“The city is united in mourning the unfortunate and tragic loss of a nine-year-old girl in Boston,” said Paul Skinner, executive director of Boston Borough Council.
