Eddie Cibrian quit CSI: Miami because the network wanted to focus on a smaller group of regular cast members. Eddie is probably most known for his role in the series CSI: Miami.
Eddie was not included in the series for a variety of reasons, all of which will be explored in further detail in this piece.
Fans of the television series CSI: Miami have recently began to rewatch it despite the fact that it has been off the air for almost a decade. The actors of CSI: Miami as well as diehard fans were taken aback when they found that the show had been cancelled. At first, the tenth season of the show was only going to consist of 19 episodes. This was purportedly done in order to make room on CBS’s schedule for a new show called NYC 22, which only ran for a single season.
The actress Eva LaRue, who played Detective Natalia Boa Vista on the television show CSI: Miami, expressed her regret to Digital Spy at the time, saying that the cast “didn’t get a chance to say farewell to the audience or to one another.”
The conclusion of the series left a bad taste in the mouths of many viewers, who felt that CSI: Miami could have told more stories and had more “character development” throughout the course of the show.
Why Did Eddie Cibrian Leave CSI Miami?
Eddie Cibrian bowed out of his role as the lead investigator on CSI: Miami for a number of reasons, one of which being Eddie’s decision not to carry on with the series.
According to Deadline, the reason that Eddie Cibrian’s contract was not renewed by CBS was because the network wanted to “focus on a core group of performers” that had been with the show since the very beginning.
The character of Eddie, who was initially written to take the place of Adam Rodriguez’s Eric Delko, was deemed unnecessary with Adam’s return in Season 9.
Cibrian made his most recent appearance on CSI Miami as Jesse Cardoza in the pilot episode of the ninth season of the programme. In that episode, a serial killer had a grudge against Horatio’s team, and he directed the deployment of poison gas around the lab.
However, Jesse was the only person to pass away as a result of the incident due to the fact that he was conducting investigation in the laboratory at the time. However, rather than succumbing to the effects of the gas, he died as a result of being struck in the head by glass shards that had broken off of a camera lens; one of these shards became embedded in his brain and caused a haemorrhage.
After his departure from CSI: Miami, Eddie Cibrian went on to star in a number of critically acclaimed films and television shows, including the dramas For Better or Worse, Rosewood, The Playboy Club, and Take-Two. In 2021, he gave his final act on television, playing the role of Beau in the Netflix comedy series Country Comfort.
