It’s been five years since Johnny Depp last played Captain Jack Sparrow in the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. After being dropped from the franchise amid allegations of domestic violence by his adamantly denied ex-wife Amber Heard, the 59-year-old has since won the defamation trial against her and is creatively back. Aside from playing King XV in the French movie La Favourite next year, he toured with his band the Hollywood Vampires once again.
Amid speculations that he will return to Pirates of the Caribbean in the future, a new video has surfaced of Depp performing the voice of Jack Sparrow for a fan named Kristen Kelly.
In the TikTok footage, the actor was asked to make an impression of her saying, “Captain Jack Sparrow. He happens to be quite close up and down at the same time oddly,” before blaming the amount of rum the character consumes on her flowing vocals.
When watching the video posted by Tammy Depp, fans were surprised but the amazing scene of the Hollywood legend was not used to it.
Over the weekend, Depp returned to his hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky, to visit his family on his way to a show with Jeff Beck in Louisville. The Pirates star happily posed for photos with local fans, but according to Fox10Now he asked them to keep it a secret until he leaves.
Depp’s band, the Hollywood Vampires, which includes Joe Perry and Alice Cooper, are set to tour the UK next July in Scarborough, Swansea, Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Tickets are on sale from October 27 at 10am and can be purchased from Ticketmaster here.
